I love futuregirl.com, it inspires me to do amazing things :)

I mostly read because I like your "voice" and am impressed by your projects, less so than that I'm going to do any myself.  :)

I wish you loads of success in whatever you hope to accomplish!

I love your blog.  I wish still lived in the Bay Area so I could come to some of your crafting get-togethers.

Love the site, thank you for the inspiration and just general loveliness you've shared!

I love your blog & the free patterns! More please?! :)  Keep up the great work! :)

Futuregirl inspired me to start my blog.  She is still as inspirational as ever.  Go Futuregirl!!

I love reading your blog - it is the only one I subscribe to!  You give me so many ideas for crochet projects that aren't just the usual things out there.  Thanks!!!

You rock my socks.

Love your site...!!!!!

<3

Love your friendly, colorful blog!

I love crochet

Keep doing a great job, loving your blog!

Love your blog.  You are very creative and do a great job of bringing that creativity to life on your blog!

I've been working the Hex Bag. Love it!

I love futuregirl.com - it's by far my favourite craft blog. Your posts are great and always have something interesting in them for both experienced and beginner crafters. I found this a very welcoming space when I was a very beginner crafter! I'm also very grateful for your generosity in sharing patterns you have designed and also other tutorials, like fsc. Thank you, Alice!

I love to read about crafts, but I hate loads of "here's my sponser's posts".  I don't even know if that's what you're planning!  I love your blog, your crafts are amazing

Yr blog was a gr8 discovery!  Enjoying the fresh ideas.

I'd love to see more Sigmund and Starling type projects that we can all do together, please!  Thank you!

love your blog

I'm obsessed with crafting :-)

Love your blog!  Through you is how I learned just how much crochet has evolved over time.  It's nice to know I'm not the only metal listening, tattooed crocheter out there.

I love your blog - I check it daily :)

I love your tutorials!

This was the first craft blog I found. Now I follow many craft blogs and have had my own for a little over a year.

I love buying yarn locally but also love that the Internet exposes me to many different yarn options that I wouldn't necessarily have here.

I enjoy your tutorials. I'm a beginner crochet crafter.

I love your thorough tutorials and the way you work so hard to figure out the best ways to do things!  Thank you!!

your blog is inspirational! i quite enjoy it.

The sky is blue.... except when it's grey... or red... or purple!

I love the beautiful crochet and felt work you do. Thanks!

I had to refer back to my blog, but I'm pretty sure I've been reading you for over three years! Yay!

you = awesome x a million

Woot woot! Good luck!

Love this blog.  Read it religiously, but don't comment.  Wish I lived closer to meet up!

Your blog has brought me back into crochet after over 10 years and I'm loving it! Keep up the great work and tutorials!

You're great! Thanks for your willingness to share.

I adore clicking onto your site to find there is another post to read, your writing is fantastic... not too long not too short and always snappy :) keep up the good work.

YOU are an inspiration :)

I have a budget for crafts that is approximately $50 a month. It is the bulk of my entertainment budget as
well.

I live in Sweden!

I think you're super Alice!!

really love your Starling Handbag pattern!

I read your blog mainly because I love your writing style and really enjoyed using your PDF handsewing patterns

Re question 5: These days I tend to buy all my craft supplies in local stores, since I want to feel how yarn etc feels, and not be fooled by monitor rendition of colors.

I learned fsc from you! thanks so much for the detailed tutorials and videos

Needlework connects women through the generations.

Love reading you! I share things with my crafty arty daughters all the time.

I'm usually a lurker, but I'm glad to have the opportunity to say your blog inspires me! I wish I crafted more, but I love seeing what you come up with anyway.

I found your blog when I was searching for a tutorial on hand sewing a lining for a crocheted bag.  I have been hooked ever since.  I read every new blog you post and I am currently working on a starling handbag of my own! (I will send you pix when it is finished)!  Thank you for providing such wonderful tutorials and sharing your sense of humor in your blog!

I love your blog!  Long time reader, but rarely comment.

Love your blog.  I would love to learn how to create my own crochet pattern.  I see that you make and undo your projects, until you get it just the way you want it.  I can't do that, well, I just learned how to crochet about a year and a few months ago, I guess it's just a matter of practice.  I'm excited to see what you're gonna do next. ;).

love your blog! :)

The age category is going to change in a few months, you might want to chalk one more up in the 40+ column, gulp!

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious -What a weird survey question!

I like Alice's responsiveness.  It makes me continue to follow her blog.  If Ilived close to her, she's be a person I would hang out with.  Very down to earth, and that is something that I appreciate.

love the blog. thanks for the inspiration!

Great blog. Haven't been reading that long.  Would love it if you ever went back into the archives and compiled a quick blog looking back over past projects.  Thanks again for the blog!  It's a great part of my day!

One of the things I enjoy about your blog is that you share the process of your crochet projects.

I <3 your blog :D :D :D :)

Love the hex tote tutorials!

I usually read through Google Reader, and sometimes click on links to view site

I love some of the new stitch ideas I have gotten from your blog. I like to make things, I'm doing my own personal project of making as much as I can and then putting pics on tiny pic of them for each month. Hopefully by the fall I'll have a good selection for the craft fairs again, and even if I don't I'll have presents ready to give at Christmas. The best bit about reading your blog or any other craft site is that it can spark an idea for something I want to create.

Muenster is pure lactose gold.

Love, Love, LOVE your site!  And you seem adorable, too!  Thanks for all that you do and the hex videos are the best- I have made them w/ regular and cotton yarns, and am working on figuring out how to make a blanket for my daughter that she can work on with me!  I will send pix when possible!  Thanks again!  :)

I'm just getting started at this, had a little exprience when I was younger and decided I wanted to get back into it. I think it means more to give homemade (with love) then to give store bought. Thanks for creating this site.

Alice is a wonderful, kind, generous crafter who inspires many!!!

Futuregirl is one of only three sites I check in with everyday.

I got into crocheting through the 'net, flickr and the inspirational blogs of others. I now crochet with a passion and continue to be inspired by women (and some men) all over the world. I love that so many of us share the same passion, no matter where we are.

LOVE your tutorials- so clear and easy to personalise, even for beginners!  Thank you!

I love this site!

Firstly, I <3 you site :) I intend to start spending a LOT more on online crafty things, since I have moved back to North America from Central Europe, since shipping will be *a lot* cheaper now! :D Oh and I was going to check "Embroidery", but that's not the same as quilting, so I didn't check it.. Ok, I'm done! :)

I don't buy much of anything online, but if I added up how much I spend at Michaels & Joann's, I don't think it'd be pretty!

I so enjoy your blog!

In case this records the time of submission, I'm not really this crazy a morning person; I just have to work
early.

such a fun site I just stumbled upon with the hex tote from the Craftzine blog.

I have used and refered others to your tutorials for a long time.  You were very much a saving grace when I was learning to crochet. Yours is one of the two blogs I refer people to most often, thank you for all you do!

Realy enjoy popping over to read your latest creations :)

these handbags are beautiful.

I wasn't sure if I should check that I enjoy things I don't really do, so I'm not sure my responses are entirely accurate, but it doesn't look like I'll be held accountable. :)

You're awesome!

You were a major inspiration for me to start crafting

Great Tutorials - best I've seen on the web!!

Your posts are much appreciated.

I love how futuregirl.com combines crochet, knitting and sewing. Alice's style is unique. It's unfussy, but very inspiring. She makes you feel that anyone could have a go at what she does. Her tutorials are very well presented, and easy to follow. Her patterns are popular for good reason. I love popping in to read what Alice has been up to.

Absolutely love the site - your creativity always inspires me.

So glad that you did decide to share this. Can't believe you got 600 people to respond - super awesome!

CrochetBlogger ... I actually cut it off at 600. I wanted a nice round number and the responses had tapered off, so I closed it down. I was SUPER surprised, too. The people who come to read my blog are definitely "good people". :)

Great to see so much awesome feedback!! It really is true. AND I have to admit - reading through all the comments and then finishing up with 'My husband won't let me buy online :{', I had to burst out laughing! I know it probably wasn't meant to be funny, but after all the other comments it just seemed to be so anticlimactic that it was hilarious!

Chantelle ... That one totally cracks me up, too. :) Part of me feels bad for her, but another part of me wonders what kind of fiscal tomfoolery she might have already perpetrated. Ha!

If her husband is just worried about online fraud, I wonder if they know about "virtual credit card" numbers. My bank lets me generate a virtual credit card number that I can put a charge limit and an expiration date on. I use them a lot for ordering from not-big-companies online.

Wow - What an interesting survey! I wasn't shocked at too many of the stats, except perhaps how large the piece of the pie was for women in their 20's! I am by far the only woman my age that I know does crochet!
