Crochet Heart Scarf - Free Pattern

You may have already seen this over on CRAFT's site, but just in case you didn't, I designed a crochet pattern for them ... this cute crochet heart scarf.

I know I'm not giving you much lead time if you want to make one for V-day, but it's a quick crochet, so you could make one tonight if you don't have anything else planned.  Grab some yarn out of your stash, put on The Princess Bride, and get stitching!

Love the pattern! Love you in the scarf! PlanetJune posted this link on Friday and I made the scarf Saturday. Turned out lovely. I'm going to make another one with heavier yarn, probably worsted and with a larger hook, maybe H(?) in black.

Alice, you are so talented! Not only at designing, but also at putting your designs into wonderful tutorials that even newbies like me can understand. I've started working on this, won't get it finished for v-day this year, but love it none the less. I was wondering if you've ever thought of doing dome thing similar, but with a rose instead of heart? Like I said, I'm a pretty new at crochet and don't even know where to begin in designing something like this. Any ideas? Thanks for all you do!

Tina ... Thanks for the sweet comment! I haven't thought of doing this with a rose pattern. You'd just have to experiment until you got it right. That's what I did. :)

Alice, v nice photo! in the previous pics i have seen of you, your red hair never came through as vibrant as these (wow). Love the combination with the red jacket and your light pink valentines heart scarf. Can't comment on the pattern, as my crochet skills are nill, though i do love the end result.
