Peepshow

Look what people made with my patterns ...

Jackie made one of my clean/dirty dishwasher status indicators.

This was my very first tutorial.  It still cracks me up. :)  It cracks Jackie's husband up, too!

This Starling Handbag is one of Sanya's first crochet projects.  She is a left handed crocheter from Singapore that taught herself to crochet recently.

I love the woven ribbon and airy flower. Cute cute cute!

Anjali is also a new crocheter who decided to make a Starling Handbag.

I love the dark edging around the top and opening for the handles.  It ties in the crochet flowers perfectly.

And that photo styling is amazing! :)

Hi Alice,
Love your blog. I came across it when I Google "wristlets." (the crochet one back in 2007)

I love your blog and think I might be in love with you... (In a totally non-intimate way) I've never read blogs except for family members updates on their life. I discovered yours while searching for patterns and spent several weeks reading your blog from the beginning. I guess that makes me a lurker! I am fifty-something and have crocheted for as long as I can remember. I usually do not like crocheted clothing either and am loving the sweater. Most crocheted clothing is too bulky looking. Not fine enough yarn or hook, IMO.

Susan Carder ... Thanks for the amazingly sweet comment. You're totally making me smile. :) I'm so glad to know you've enjoyed reading through my blog. You're a lurker no more!

Designing crochet garments that look good is difficult because they really have to be made for the body that's going to wear them. I understand why crochet designers make boxy sweaters, because that's the only way to ensure it'll fit a whole range of sizes (and bumps and curves). Doesn't make for very flattering garments, though. :)

I wonder if I made the dirty/clean dishwasher indicator if we would remember to empty the dishwasher sooner! Probably not, but it might be worth a try!
