The Fennec Fox is Done!

It's been so nice to have you all along on this finishing-adventure for the fennec fox.  Honestly, without the public oversight, I think he still might be languishing in the dark WIP drawer.  He wasn't an easy project, by any stretch of the imagination.

Gah!  So adorable. :)  All the work and stitching and fiddling was worth it in the end, though.  The best part is that I made him as a gift for my husband, so he gets to stay here at home with me!

He's absolutely beautiful. I don't comment as often as I admire your work, but I had to tell you how wonderful I think this project was. I love all the detail you put into it--so worth the extra time it took. Thank you for always showing us your process--how you made the choices you did, and what you took apart to remake in a different fashion. For this reason alone, you are one of my very favorite bloggers. :)

My entire family squealed with delight at this final photo of the fennec fox. What a great creation!

My kids wanted to know if there is a picture of the finished product with your hand in it or something else so they can see how big it is.

Also, my kids would like to offer you $22 for a fennec fox of their own. I know it's not for sale, but since this is just about all the money they have, I thought I'd pass it on as a compliment.

DCL ... Now *I'm* squealing with delight! :) I love that they would give up all the money they have to own a little fox. Definitely a sweet compliment. I meant to take a snap of the fox in my hand, but I forgot. I've had a couple questions about size, so I'll post a photo of me holding the little cutie.

He has such a personality! So cute! Have you named him? I'm assuming it's a boy. Seriously, I am so amazed!

LeeAnn ... When I asked Andrew if he had a name, he gave him one that's un-blogable (though hilarious). Ha! I think it's a he, too.

He came out great! I was going to say I love his tail best. But then I think, no his old man ears are the best. But then the tilt of his head and gaaahhh I think all of him is the bestest.

And also my imagination is running wild trying to think of unblogable names. :-D

Just perfect. Perfect. I'm from Ireland, I had to google "fennec fox" to see what exactly they are because we don't have them... and now I'm even more impressed- the attention to detail! Wow! As my mam would say, "he's a wee dote!" Oh, and I have to say, I think the comment about the $22 for a fox is the cutest thing I've read all week:-)

WOW! What a great finished product. I always love the way you style your photos with your backdrops. It reminds me that people really do care about presentation. 'Cause it's super important. And your little dude looks amazing against that backdrop - perfect contrast.

OMG are you KIDDING ME?! He is a masterpiece. A true work of art. And, I admit, I've been going crazy trying to think of unbloggable names. :)

Also, I want to adopt the kids who offered their savings for a fennec fox of their own.

futuregirl replied ...
Susie ... Gah! You are too kind. :) As far as his name, my husband's a dude, so I'm sure you can at least guess the genre of the name ... ha! Those *are* the most adorable kids in the world, but you'll be happy to know they have terrific parents (which is probably why they are so awesome).
