Flower Purse 2 - Update 1

Someone just commented that they missed my update-y posts from when I was making the first flower purse.  Well, your wish is my command ... ;)

It's been a while since I did the test flowers to figure out which colors to use to make Flower Purse 2.  My pick had been peach, pink, yellow, brown, and ecru.  That was my favorite combination based on my options, but not my first choice if I could go out and buy yarn.

Since I got a stash enhancement from Jackie that included a bunch more yellow yarn, I've decided to make it all yellow.  It'll be like a bag of daisies or a bag of mini sunflowers ... good from Spring to Fall.

And, just so you know, it's not for me; It's for a friend. :)

I have a feeling this one is going to go a lot faster than the first Flower Purse ... but it wouldn't take much to be faster than 4 months!  I've done a lot of crocheting today since that photo was taken.  I've got the bulk of the flowers done.  It's Flower Purse 2 at sonic speed!

This is going to be really cute! I like how the tan quiets the cheery yellow a bit - and you're right, makes it fall, too. Have fun.

Yay second flower purse! I really want to start one, but I'm kind of scared of the liner. I need to gear myself up to embrace the learning process again! :D

Thanks, Everyone!

Carmen ... This is one of my favorite skirts. Pink linen from H&M. I'm 98% not-a-pink-girl, but this skirt is awesome. It helps that I can wear a red shirt with it. :)

Looking forward to seeing your updates on this one!

And I too LOVE the skirt.

And that you seem to regularly sit on a park bench and crochet.

(And that you were willing to look "weird and lifeless" in an attempt to scoop up some nature, but that's really a comment for another post...)

Yay for using up the yarn that would have been sitting at the bottom of a Rubbermaid tote at my house for the next 10 or 15 years!!! I'm so glad to see you will be putting it to such beautiful use! And I can't wait to see what you do with the owl fabric. . .
