Come On Bloglines, I Love You

Bloglines was a dream when I switched over the blog blog.  It picked up the feeds without a hitch.  But, for some unknown reason, Bloglines has only updated one of the four feeds it sees for my craft blog.  Actually, there are only two feeds (the rss and the atom) but bloglines lists them both twice: once under craft_blog and once under craft%5Fblog (the underscore is encoded).  So it makes even *less* sense that they've only updated the one rss feed and not the other one since they are the same feed.

Argh!

Anyway, this post is an attempt to kinda spur Bloglines into "seeing" the feeds.  Come on, Bloglines ... I don't want to have to write a feed reader, too.  ;)

I thought you had been silent for too long so I decided to check in manually (bloglines has spoiled me). Good to see you back..... hope bloglines picks things up soon!

I had a similar issue with Bloglines the last time I had to change hosts. Their customer service staff told me they couldn't fix it, and then stopped responding to my emails. The problem miraculously worked itself out a few weeks later.

By then, of course, I had switched to Google Reader. Just sayin' - you might like it, too.

Just to let you know, my feedreader (Akregator, running under kubuntu Linux) duplicated the last 25 of the archived posts i have from your blog when you switched over! (However, Akregator is always being stupid, so the problem was probably more me than you... :) )

have you claimed your feeds in bloglines yet? also are you pinging bloglines with each new post? those both help bloglines pick up your feeds.

I switched from Bloglines to Google Reader a while back. I liked Bloglines but they had too much downtime for me and so far I'm really happy with Google Reader.

I had no problem coming here from my bloglines.

P.S. Love the Now with More Future flag. So good.

I wasn't receiving your post updates in bloglines. I switched feeds, so I think I will now.

Hi, I just want to ask, do you do your 'recent commenters' list on your right hand sidebar yourself manually or is it an automatic-ly set up thing?
Btw, I've always wanted to have a full page template instead of the narrow templates that blogger provides. I think you're the best person to ask about how do do that.
Thanks!

Considering that my name appeared immediately after i posted this comment, I assume it's an automatically set up thing. May I know how do you do that? I'd like to have the same thing on my blog. Many many thanks.

Strange. I'm having similar problems. I added the feed to my own site so that I can check whether the feed displays probably. Today, it's looking pretty weird. Posts from 2006 is turning up looking like 2008 posts. So I googled on "Bloglines feed problems 2008" and found your post here.
