Blogaversary Celebration - Week 2

The free download for Week 2 of my 3-year blogaversary is Supercute Sea Creatures.  I love these little guys so much.  They are super-easy to make, which means that you can make tons of them to experiment with all sorts of color combinations.

When I was designing them, I did  Google searches to look for embellishment inspiration.  Sea life is so colorful and diverse!  One of my favorite is the tie-dye felt jellyfish I made.

Because the shapes are so simple, they can easily be made into appliqués (for adorable little girls!).  Check out the Supercute Sea Creature Flickr Group to see what people have whipped up so far.

Thanks for entertaining me on my weeks off - you've given me a great idea (which will of course be attributed to you if it actually gets made)!

Thank you for the sea creatures pattern. I love the little Octopus. Last time I downloaded my files were corrupted. I opened them just fine & then later on in the week something happened. I am pretty sure it was on my end because I had other PDF's corrupted too. I changed the extension from aspx to PDF. I hope that helps to any one who is having trouble.

I tried it again on all the patterns & it worked Twice the charm. Computer need to be babied don't they? We love them just like babies but some days we need a baby sitter. :)

I have finally made them, these super cute little sea creatures. Thank you, Alice! Now they are hanging from the ceiling in my living room and I keep watching them all the time. :)

Dear Alice,
I have just found your blog and was hoping perhaps the octopus pattern was available still?
I am doing a project which needs sea creatures and I am doing these with embroidery and beads etc.
Is there any chance you could be kind enough to let me have the pattern? but understand if its not possible?
Kind regards from Pam Cornwall UK

Thank you kindly for the free patterns! I plan to make these as party favors for my daughter's 4th birthday and can't wait to get started! I just discovered this blog and look forward to checking in daily to see what you're up to because what I've seen so far is amazing.

Next order of business: make an octopus pinata. Wish me luck!

Well, not exactly stuffies, but your pattern was obviously my inspiration for my daughter's 4th birthday party invitations. I'm hoping to get some of the stuffies of your other sea creatures done in time for party favors. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!!
