At Least One Cyclops
Why an odd number of eyes? Well, for a dollar, I'm not going to complain.

I bought a package of googley-eyes the other day. I'm going to check tonight and see if I got an even set.
They probably do it so that you'll buy 2 packages.

i think they do it assuming you're going to make some cyclopses (cyclops'? cyclopi?)

p.s. of course, you'd have to make an odd number of them....

Ha! It's like the age old "8 hotdogs, 6 buns". No one knows what these companies are thinking...

Maybe it's an extra eye in case you lose one.
Most likely it's poor planning on the part of the googley eye factory boss.
P.S. Imagine working at a googley eye factory. I once knew someone through a message board who worked at the Kraft marshmellow factory. That's pretty good to tell people who ask, "What do you do?" But I'd prefer saying "goggley eye factory worker" personally.

I never would have noticed such an interesting detail. That is so intriguing.

If it were me, I'd probably stick the extra eye on my forehead and pretend to be a mystic. "My googley eye sees all."

I really enjoy reading futuregirl, but only the first few lines show up when I read it using google reader. Would you consider changing your settings so the whole post is sent to feedreaders?

Were they always called "google" eyes? Shouldn't it be googley or something?

Google eyes!!! Cool name!!! If in the end you have only one left, you can make a pirate toy.

Hi Alice.
I've been reading your blog for a couple of weeks and ust wanted to say 'hello'!
I think your work is
really amazing
and has provided me with the motivation to hone my own craftiness (although in the scheming sense, I reign supreme, lol).
I've just started my own little blog and you're on my faves list (if that's okay). I'd love it if you looked some time!
