Never Enough Felt

Thank you for all the organizational love.  Who else, but you guys, would appreciate something like that? :)

Lots of people emailed asking about buying felt online.  I'd never looked before, because it's so easy for me to find around here ... and now I wish I'd never looked.  Danger! Danger!

Create For Less has every color of Kunin Felt in sheets and some colors on bolts. I didn't realize I was missing so many colors.  Lemon Frost must be mine!

Some other places that sell acrylic felt online (let me know if you have a source and I'll add it):
Dick Blick - assortments
Joann's  - assortments and bolted felt
Munro - Kunin Felt, phone orders

And, for those of you who prefer swanky wool felt, Old School Acres posted a bunch of info and links yesterday.

Thanks for the links, Alice. If I can get my hands on some nice, thick acrylic felt I might change my mind!! LOL

I have used wool felt to line tea cozies. I got two yards of nice red stuff at the thrift store for, um, I think $1.50. So, looking at the prices on the wool felt links, I think that when I make more tea cozies I'll have to use washing-machine-felted sweaters as lining. Since I use re-purposed quilted placemats as the outsides, I don't think it'll be too weird.

I just started using felt and since I'm in a rural community I had no idea where to find any. So I first searched Etsy (where I buy other supplies for my various hobbies). Anyway, my first experience buying felt was a shop called feltonthefly. She sells high quality wool felt (I thought that's all there was...I didn't know that most craft felt is acrylic!). Anyway, I stopped searching for felt because I found my supplier; her felt is wonderful!
