Addition To Blanket Stitch Tutorial

When I made the jellyfish for the Supercute Sea Creatures, I used a single line of blanket stitch along the bottom edge.

My blanket stitch tutorial only showed how to do blanket stitch if you were going all the way around.  I added a little section to the tutorial that shows you how to start a blanket stitch if you don't intend on meeting back up with the first stitch so you can keep your first stitch vertical.

That tutorial page is WAY long.  It's such a monster.  I need to rethink that page and get it looking more usable.  Maybe I should split all the little bits up and put them on their own pages.  Hmmm.

hi Alice
Thanks for adding that bit onto the blanket stitch tutorial. & please don't think you need to break it up or anything, I find it VERY useful and I'm sure lots of other people do too. It's good to have it altogether like that for a handy reminder before or during a little project.
Can you do french knots on felt? I have given up even trying and do a tiny cross stitch now, but I'd love to see a tutorial on that if possible.
Lots of love, Alison

It's such a cute jellyfish. I agree with alison over here. I don't think it's a monster post. Instead I think it is very practical to have everything in the same post :-)

I don't know the answer, but I do know that I intend to learn a blanket stitch and when I do I'm going to learn it here. I admit to fearing it. But generally I find out that I was having irrational fears. Once I tackle things they never turn out as hard as I imagine them.
