Peacock Sweater Version 3.2

So I dialed down the puffy sleeves by starting with fewer motifs at the top of the shoulder and increasing as I work subsequent rows.

Left shoulder.

Right shoulder.

Looking good.

Except for the fact that my armpit is getting SQUEEZED by the arm hole.  Argh!

I actually did several more rows after this to see if the hole would stretch a little.  No way.  No day.

The architecture of the stitches changed when the sleeve stitches were added to the design.  In sweater 2.0, there were no sleeve stitches to give the sweater stability, so the motifs stretched more top-to-bottom around the arm hole.

So I started over ...

... again.

If it helps at all, the shoulders look really pretty, so when you do get it all figured out, I think it's going to be a really pretty sweater.

Love how the shoulder ended up working out. Too bad about the arm hole, but I like the look of it with sleeves. I love watching your progress with this. Even though it seems frustrating to you I am sure that you've hit the bumps you have along the way, but you make the process definitely seem do-able because of your patience.

Watching all of this work you're putting into the sweater makes me want to start making clothing more, only I doubt I have as much patience as you do!
I also have to say that I love your necklace :D

It looks fantastic! And if you stopped a few lines after and didn't go on to make a full sweater..you may start a new fashion trend :)
