Stunt Crocheting: Six-Color Spiral

The other night I had an idea for a market bag.  I scribbled down some notes before I fell asleep.  I got a chance to try things out at craft night on Wednesday.

This is version number 4 ... and it won't be the last.  I'm trying to find the right increase formula so the spiral stays flat.

Blue Farfallina ... Luckily, because of the spiral, the increases are offset. Yay!

I recently had a problem with getting something to lay flat. No matter how many times I tried to figure out where/how to increase. Then I went up a hook size with the same amount of increases and it worked beautifully.

Kristine ... Thanks for the tip! I figured it out, but next time I might try changing the hook size.

I'm trying to work out in my head how on earth this spiral thing even works. I don't get it. It's pretty cool, though. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
