Crafting In Public

We had our first crafting in public get together on Wednesday at Yerba Buena park. It was beautiful and there was a nice group of us.  And I didn't take one effing photo!  I remembered my camera (and extra batteries!) and everything, but I didn't remember to take it out.  Gah!

There was me, Anne, Allie, Steve, Rita, Laura, and Julie.  A nice mix of sewers, knitters, and crocheters.  We were talking most of the time, but there were several moments where we all went quiet and all were working on our projects.  I loved those silent moments!

We're going to do it on the third Wednesday of every month.  Everyone is welcome, so if you're in the area, mark July 21st, 5:30 PM on your social calendar!

You are the original public crafting girl! Glad to hear the tradition continues in our nations most beautiful city. I'm actually going to be there for a day next month. Not nearly enough time to see every place I used to hang out during the brief time I lived there. Enjoy that great park!

VioletteCrumble ... One day?! That's sorta torture, isn't it? :) Do you have time for a quick "hi" or something? No pressure. That sort of thing is hard to coordinate even when you *do* have more than one day.

nations = nation's. I am no dummy, just a lousy proof- reader.

I know where I want to be on July 21st!

I am a huge fan of "quiet moments" too! And of crafting in the sunshine!

I am glad to hear you were so into the experience that you forgot all about your camera!

pam ... I definitely thought of you and Diane and your Big Silence. We're such a new group, though, that no one would let it stay quiet for long. :)
