Spanish Starling Help

I've been getting emails from a woman who has questions about the Starling Handbag.  The problem is she doesn't know English very well, and I don't know Spanish very well.  If you know Spanish and English and can answer questions about the Starling Handbag pattern, or translate her crochet questions for me and my answers for her, we'd both really appreciate it!

I haven't made your starling handbag, but I can crochet and I speak Spanish and English. If you want to email me, I'll do my best to translate for you. I'm not 100% sure about my bilingual crochet terminology, but that's what dictionaries are for, right? :)

Laura ... Thanks for the offer, but I just found out one of my pattern testers knows Spanish. What luck! :)

Hola! I don't know anything about crochet or Sterling Handbag pattern, but I would be happy to try to help you. Spanish is my first language. Just email me her question and I can help you to respond.

I am a german craftster living in Spain and I am quite fluent in english and spanish. If I can give you a hand with the translations, just send me a note.

Keep up the good work. Love the blog!

Martin ... Thank you for your offer to help! I just found out that one of the Starling pattern testers actually knows Spanish, so she is going to help me. :) I'm glad you commented, though, because I'm glad I discovered your blog! :)

Glad you've found some people to help you with this. :) In the future, if you're in a bind you can always try http://translate.reference.com/ (they can translate over 50 languages, and it's free -- and it's light-years more accurate than Babelfish!).

Sierra Pelona Crochet ... Normally, auto translation gets the point across OK, but not in this case. She was using an online translator to email me, and her questions made no sense. I couldn't even write an answer to run through the translator because I didn't know what the question was. :) Normally, though, I like to use freetranslation.com

Ah, I see; an unusually tricky translation situation. Thanks for mentioning freetranslation.com -- I will give it a test run! :)

I came to offer my help but clearly I am late to the party. But you've got my bilingual if you need them.

Glad you got it worked out! The only Spanish I know is from watching "Dora the Explorer," so unless you need to know how to tell Benny the Bull that he needs to jump three times, I'm useless.
