There is nothing I want to do more than buy some ivory or cream yarn from Elmore Pisgah (made in the USA!) to make my sweater ... but, (oh my!) which one? Ivory? Cream? I've been looking at online color swatches for hours and I can't pick.
I bought the color card for the
Peaches & Creme cotton yarn (and some of their other yarns, too) a couple years ago, but I couldn't find them in the storage unit. Did they get lost in the move? Argh!
I totally wanted to make an order today, on January First, but I have to know what color I want first. I want to make a biggish order so it's worth the shipping. I thought about buying one ball of ivory and one ball of cream, but the shipping is $9.83 for the $3.38 in yarn. Eeeeek!
You know what my impish little heart wants to do? Buy a ball in each color.
49* balls of joy! Can you imagine opening up that box?! Oh, heaven!
But that comes to $99.88, which is a *little* more than I wanted to spend. Especially an order of one ball per color, which would make them all pretty much useful for only the tiniest or most colorful of projects.
And, did I figure that out by putting one ball of yarn in my cart and changing the quantity to 49? Oh, no. Not me! I put one ball of each color in my cart. Perhaps that was a little wishful thinking on my part. ;)
In despair, I went to the book store to see if there were any magazines or books I wanted. Nope. My crafty little hands want yarn. Yarn. YARN!
Don't worry, though, I'll figure something out. :)
*There are 50 colors, but I already have the cone of ecru that I used to make the sweater.
