This Is Not A Review - But It *Is* A Giveaway

*** UPDATE: The random winner is Stephanie who said ... "This is a caffeine free sparkle of energy on a cloudy Sunday morning."  Congratulations! ***

When the publisher offered to send me a copy of This Is Not A Book, I was mildly curious.  Seemed fun.  Seemed cute.  Maybe it would be inspiring, or maybe it would get me to think outside of my creative box.  I figured I'd thumb through it and then pass it on to a friend.

But then I got my copy.

The premise is that This Is Not A Book is anything *except* a book.  Each page says that it's something, and most certainly, that thing is *not* a book.  In the most fun way possible, each page will make you think.  One makes you examine the mundane.  Another makes you create a new world in which to live.  The next tells you to tear it out and hide it somewhere.

I love this book.

I wish I could give it back and then have someone give it to me as a surprise.

I love surprises.

The only way I could love this book more is if it had been a surprise.

Here are some great pages from This Is Not A Book.

Giveaway!

Leave a comment on this post telling me what this post *is* ... but this post cannot be a review or a blog post.  I will randomly pick one winner to receive a copy of This Is Not A Book after I turn off comments some time around midnight on Sunday, September 13th.

This post is not a post. It is a random arrangement of words and pictures that will make sense to someone somewhere.
(I keep wanting to get a book by Keri Smith, because I know a girl named Keri Smith and would love to give it to her! And blow her mind! A book by her that's not by her!)

That (see above) is not a post. It is an act of sharing infinite possibility with another person while affecting many, many more, who will likely, in turn, share more things that aren't things with people who are anything but 'bookish'.

PS. This is not a comment.

This post is a creativity juicer! As in the book will help to unblock your creative thought process and make you see things in a different way...thus open the gates to your creativity!! The book will make you think outside of the box. If not, well, it will at least let you have a few minutes of fun and who knows...maybe it'll make you look like an idiot for a few minutes too! ;)

Either way, sounds like a great *not a book* book to have around!

This is actually the centre of a cotton candy stick. We are pretending to fight our way out but really, who wants to get out when there is so much sticky pink wonder to bounce around in, get caught up in and melt in our moufs? Look at that one over there - she's just showing off now, twisting and trying to become her own cotton candy stick. Wish I'd thought of that!

this is a an introduction to a new type of personal outlet, one where it pushes you're thought boundaries into looking at things in a new perspective. instead of reading a book, it's more like creating and destroying. everyone's needs to both give and take, and this book allows us to express ALL those emotions.
