When the publisher offered to send me a copy of
This Is Not A Book, I was mildly curious. Seemed fun. Seemed cute. Maybe it would be inspiring, or maybe it would get me to think outside of my creative box. I figured I'd thumb through it and then pass it on to a friend.
But then I got my copy.
The premise is that This Is Not A Book is anything *except* a book. Each page says that it's something, and most certainly, that thing is *not* a book. In the most fun way possible, each page will make you think. One makes you examine the mundane. Another makes you create a new world in which to live. The next tells you to tear it out and hide it somewhere.
I love this book.
I wish I could give it back and then have someone give it to me as a surprise.
I love surprises.
The only way I could love this book more is if it had been a surprise.
