Love the colors (I might have made that comment before), it reminds me of autumn and sunflowers.

Hot dog! You are busting that out. How do you keep your crafty inspiration/mojo going all the time? I have blocks of time (days, weeks, etc) where I don't want to do anything.

KK ... Yep. I'm gonna line it.

anon ... For the pattern, you need the book. In the categories, click on "project - flower purse" and click on the link "this book" in the last post listed.

Carmen ... Crafting is my escape. My guilty pleasure. I get so little time to craft lately that it keeps me hungry for it. :)

The bag is looking great! How much yarn have you needed to make it?

Kate ... I didn't really keep track, but it's something like one 2.5 oz. skein of tan, four skeins of yellow and two skeins of brown.

I enjoy your blog and I am working on a Starling handbag. Hope it's OK that I used your picture of the bag on my blog and a link to you. Can't wait to see your latest bag finished!

I love these purses! I don't have the attention span for it - by the time I finish all the flowers just the idea of all the steps involved...I just can't do it. Maybe in the colder months but right now I like my instant gratification projects :)

I'll just sit here and dream of the day when I might produce something like that.

I wish I could comment on the previous post about "this is not a book". I'm not trying to win this late in the game :p but I am familiar with the book and it's companions. They're a great way to break out of a creative slump and pass the time. "Wreck this journal" was given to me as a gift when I moved to Sydney and started spending more time on buses. It ended up being a much bigger deal to me than just a boredom breaker...it got me to be messy and that's changed my creative ambitions and perspectives greatly! I highly recommend all of the books in this series!

Have you finished this purse yet?? I would really like to see the pic, and you were also working on another one with lots of colors, please can you share the pics??

Basirat ... This one is actually the one I was thinking of making in a bunch of different colors. I ended up going with just yellow. I haven't finished it yet, and now it's packed away in storage, so I'm not sure when I will get a chance to finish it, but I'll be sure to post about it when I get back to it. :)

I really love the yarn or thread that you are using for your crochet. I'm leaving in the Philippines and those kinds of thread or yarn are hard to find here. We do have the crochet thread by Cannon however they are so tiny, I tried to make your starling bag but I ended up making a lot of modifications because of the thread size. But still I would love to make that bag once I find a similar thread you are using. ^_^

I would like to get the pattern. Also, could you do a vide on how to put handles on the flower purse? The purses are absolutely beautiful!!!

Carolyn Lewis ... This is a pattern from a Japanese craft book (ISBN 9784579111138). I won't be doing tutorials for it since I can't distribute the pattern. Sorry to disappoint you!
