The Starling Handbag Is A Rising Star

In June my free downloads had just hit 10,000.  Now I'm well over 20,000. About 4200 of those are Starling Handbags.  Wow!

In fact, the Starling Handbag downloads have surpassed Sigmund the Octopus and the Meal Planner.  The Starling Handbag is 84 downloads away from eclipsing the Supercute Sea Creatures.  How awesome is that!?

I wonder how many purses have actually been made so far.  Several people have emailed photos to me (I post them on my Flickr if they give me permission).  And Ravelry there are 89 Starling Handbags in the works (or completed!).  I have to imagine there are many many more floating around the world out there.

Do you have any photos to send me? :)  If you have any on your Flickr, just add them to the Futuregirl Starling Handbags group and I'll automatically find out about them.  I love seeing all your creativity!

So Many Downloads!!!

Hello from hot and sunny Spain! I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful pattern and tutorials! I've downloaded your handbag pattern a few days ago but haven't started it yet since I was working on another project, as soon as I finish it I would love to send you a picture. As a "self-teached crocheter" your tutorials are really useful to me, so I thank you once again. I love to read you! Best wishes. Belle

Alice, just joined your Starling Bag Flickr group and added my pics.
Last night, at our newly-formed, knitting & crocheting group, I showed a friend your fsc, she had downloads Starling and wants to make it with a wool and then felt the bag. She learns from seeing rather than reading and doing. She caught on right away and was already crocheting up the side of her bag before we left our meeting. She's eager.
Me? Well, I'm just starting up the sides of my fourth Starling. I truly love your pattern
