Honey, Where's That Thing I'm Looking For?

We are moved but so-totally-not unpacked.  I'm WAY behind on answering emails and comments and don't even have my computer set up, so if you emailed me before the move, I can't even reply to it (like you, Korallin!).  So, don't freak out if you're waiting to hear from me. :)

Thank goodness for 3-day weekends.  There will be much unpacking, lots of walking, just enough pina colada water ices, a ton of corn on the cob, and, if I'm lucky, some crafting!

I want to say a big, warm "Hi!' to Donna who recognized me (and my flower purse) from my blog and introduced herself to me today while I was running errands. :)   How cool is that?!

What is a pina colada water ice? Sounds delicious and refreshing!

Water ice is awesome. It's sometimes called Italian Ice when you're not near Jersey. We usually go to Philly Flavors (http://phillyflavors.com/) on our nightly walks, but the biggest chain in the area is Rita's (http://www.ritasice.com/). It's like ice cream but made out of ice. It's smoother than a snow cone or a slushy and has flavor throughout, not poured on. It's not liquidy, so you eat it with a spoon.

Last year my favorite flavor was Rita's Mint Chocolate Chip. The "chocolate chips" were awful and waxy and worthy of being quote-marked because I doubt their actual chocolaty-ness and they weren't chips, they were tiny squares. But the mint water ice part is AWESOME, so I suffered through getting waxy brown squares stuck to my teeth.

This year I'm in love with Philly Flavor's Pina Colada. Sometimes I order Orange Cream, but not often. Rita's has a new flavor this season called Birthday Cake which I am DYING to try, but they haven't had it the last million times I've walked by.

When it's super-hot out, the promise of a water ice is the only thing that will coax me out of the house for a walk.

Yay for being all moved! Sometimes getting to set up a new place is so refreshing and renewing to me. I hope it will be the same for you! :)

Ah don't worry. I haven't been on the computer like regular anyways because I'm sick.

What are the odds? I've just moved to a new home, also. The difference, however, is that we're in the middle of winter. No ice cream, only chipas (a very local kind of cheese "bread")

Ogre and I have lived here two years and two months, and sometimes I feel like we still haven't fully unpacked. We have, but there certainly isn't a place for everything. Plus it did take us a long time. Hopefully you got it done pretty quickly.

btw, I haven't been here in a while, hence the responses to older posts.
