New Felt To Play With

I got a stack of craft felt from OnlineFabricStore.net to review.  Their polyester felt is made of recycled materials by the company Eco-fi.  A great alternative for those of us that are allergic to wool.
What do you want to know about this felt?  Do you have an experiment request?  I'll try to answer all your burning questions in my review.  I can't wait to find time to play around with it.  I haven't made a stuffie in a while and my fingers are itching.
Look at all those colors!  I thought I got a sample of every color ... until I looked at their site.  They have 48 colors just in the poly felt!

Wow that is awesome! Your stuffies are so cute - I'm sure any of them would be great to try out the felt. Here are some questions I have:
1. How does it feel compared to the acrylic felt?
2. How sturdy is it?
3. And I'd like to see some of your awesome embroidery on it!
It is so hard to know about something like this without being able to touch it!! Thanks for testing it out Alice! :D

Stuffies, of course, or some bottlecap pincushions ("comfort crafting food").

I love the recycled aspect but have been frustrated with inconsistent thickness--despite trying different colors & purchasing from different suppliers. Some areas are thin enough to see through!

Can't wait to see what you make!

Rawk! I met someone from that company at CHA. I'm excited about the recycled aspect. I'd love to know how consistent you find the thickness, and whether the various colors have a similar surface.

That's so funny -- I just got a 28-color bundle of the same stuff from feltorama.com! I love feltorama.com (they package up your goods so nicely!), but the eco-felt is leaving me cold. I wanted to love it, but I so far just don't. But I'm a hard sell -- I LOVE wool felt. I do like all the colors of the eco-felt, though.

I'll be interested to see what you think about the eco-felt, since you usually use acrylic felt. My biggest complaint with non-wool felt is that you can practically see through it unless it's really thick.

I can't wait to see what you make with your new loot!

OMG!!! You're the woman I've been looking for... XD I'd like to know ALL about ecofelt (LOL), but basically if it can be washed (machine or hand) and ironed, 'cause I want it to do appliques on tees.

Thanks for all the hard work you'll do to us!!! XDXDXD

Nothing beats wool felt for me, plus it comes in any color you could ever want! I do use eco felt for a lot of my plushies simply because it's dirt-cheap though. And really easy to find.
