Originally, my flower purse closure was going to be this little guy.  Keri, a longtime reader, sent him to me a while back.  He's been sitting on my monitor stand for over a month.  He's just a tad smaller than the tip of my pinky finger.

He didn't work as the button-part of the closure because the braid pulled him up too much ... almost flipping him over.  See how his bead-hole is high up?  I was kind of sad because he looked really cute on the bag.  Plus, I'd love to have him in a place where I can see him everyday.  You know, besides my monitor stand.

His cute little face is reminding me of some skull beads blog friend sent ... which are reminding me of some vintage trim another blog friend sent  ... which remind me of, well, you get the picture.

Hmm.  I'm thinking of pulling out all the cute little gifties I've received from my blog friends and staring at the pile until I come up with a way to actually *use* them.  Because, truth be told, he's not even the only *owl* bead I've been sent.
