Avital said ... I relate so much to your post. My husband and I have relocated twice in the past 2 years. Each time to a new continent. each time farther away from our family and friends.

We are currently living in San Jose and treasure each step of the way!

Salihan said ... I totally understand how you feel. I moved from Singapore to Sydney, an 8 hour flight apart from my entire family, to start a new life with my husband. It was scary but equally as exciting to be in a new country and a very different culture. I hope you enjoy the feeling of "Oh, I haven't seen that before" for as long as you can. I miss that now. :)

~Gwen~ said ... We MISSED you during the move. Glad it was a success. My husband worked at the SFPL for 16 years. We have lots of S.F. memories, though we never lived in the city proper.Now my son attends a Cordon Bleu institute there.

When you have time, check out the Luggage Store and 509 Cultural Center galleries. They do a wonderful job of supporting beginning artists (though not crafty types per se). The Greenlab/ Tenderloin National Park is a really fascinating project. It's adjacent to the 509.
