Cactus Update - January

Well, they are still in their original home.  I haven't found a suitable new home for them yet.  The little ghostie finally shriveled up, but everyone else seems pretty healthy.

Here is the littlest one, who was featured last month as well.  He looks exactly the same.  No growth there.  Oh, well.

Looking at last months Flickr images, none of them have grown.  Maybe they're dormant because is winter.  You can see more photos in my cactus Flickr group.

If you let your home temperature go down in the winter or if you're keeping them near a window, they probably are going semi-dormant at least while it's colder. Or at least the cacti(sp?) here in the Mojave desert don't grow or change when the temperatures drop.
Although I do have to admit to being impressed those are harder to grow and it seems like you've still got most of them thriving through the winter.

You've inspired me to try cactus growing. I was in the Phoenix airport this weekend and bought some touristy seed packets... any advice?
