mellowbeing gifties
I got some cute buttons from mellowbeing.  They are all awesome, but my fave is "In Soviet Russia, pin reads you"  Thanks, Jen!

Owl Trim
Laquita of Sideshow Kitties (which are cute-cute-cute!) emailed me offering up some amazing vintage owl trim.  I just got it and it's 500% cooler than it looked in the photo she sent ... and the photo looked pretty darn cool.  Perfect autumny colors.  And I'm totally digging the variegated thread and the way it changes from body to body.  Thanks, Laquita!

Interweave Crochet Fall 2008
I bought a copy of Interweave crochet because I really want to make Northern Dreams Pullover.  I absolutely CAN NOT make it out of alpaca, though.  My body runs hot, and if I encase myself in tight-fitting alpaca, I think I'd burst into flames.

I also love Lara’s Dance Skirt but I imagine I'd snag it on every nail, knob, bush, bicycle, chair, child ... that I'd pass.  It's super cute, but I'm not sure I'm girly enough to pull it off.  I'd walk in the door at the end of the day with half of Philly caught in my skirt like it was a big fishing net.

Gee's Bend
We went to the Gee's Bend quilt exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  It was great!  Someday I'd love to make us a quilt.  Maybe sooner than later.  I don't have any pictures because they aren't allowed in the special exhibits.

Owl Puzzle
Well, it's not really a puzzle because it comes with instructions (well, it says it has instructions ... I *hope* it has instructions!).  How awesome is this kit?!  I found it at the Art Museum gift shop.  I HAD to have it.  I don't think it comes with the google eyes ... but I've got that covered.

i bought interweave crochet for the SAME EXACT REASON! i want to make the pullover!

i don't think ill make mine from alpaca either because i think there are other yarns that are more reasonably priced that i could use.
