When I read that Diane at
Crafty Pod tagged me for this one, I was not thrilled. Things I like about myself?! But then it sort of turned in to a challenge ... so here's the list:
1) My name. Alice is a great name, and I think it's fitting in my case.
2) My green eyes. They are such a great color.
3) My persistence. I will keep going forward come hell or high water. Even if something seems doomed, I usually will see it through to the end ... just in case it isn't really doomed.
4) My optimism. Which is part of the reason for my forward momentum even when things don't seem to be going my way.
5) My ability to cut my losses. When something is *actually* doomed (craft project, situation, relationship, etc.) I can easily walk away if that's the right thing to do. Not to say I turn off my emotions, because I don't. I'd rather feel bad about something failing than torture myself with hopeless circumstances.
6) My goofy side. I like that I can be silly and not get embarrassed.
7) My maker-ness. It's great to be confident that I can do stuff myself (even if it turns out I can't ... see #5). I'm proud that I can create things with my own two hands.
8) My creativity. Sometimes I really surprise myself with my artistic side.
9) My organizational skills. They come in super handy in all areas of my life.
10) My cynicism. I think it's just a part of seeing the world clearly.
I usually don't tag people, but there are some of you out there who I think should take up the challenge of listing the things you like about you ... and you know who you are. If I can do it, so can you. :)
