I can't even tell you how excited I am about finishing my octopus stuffie pattern and instructions! I have been diligently working on this project since I made
Octophrost for my ornament swap in December. The pattern and instructions are are 3-page PDF that I'm selling for $5.
Buy yours today!I totally love the vibe of Japanese craft book stuffie patterns, so I did my best to capture that fun style in my own pattern. I created the pattern pieces, illustrated instructions, and the written instructions in Illustrator. To create the PDF, I used
EasyPDF, which was totally worth $15.
I put a lot of hard work into this project, but I didn't do it alone. I had four great pattern testers that gave me valuable feedback and caught all of my mistakes (hopefully!). Thank you so much
Bethany (octo-post),
Korallin (

Rose (

Stephanie (

Not only did they all whip up an octopus in February when I thought I was almost finished, but they all uploaded pictures of their creations to my new
Flickr Group: Futuregirl Octopus Stuffies. Each of them made a unique and adorable octopus. I can't wait to see all the variations that everyone creates.
My husband Andrew was the *biggest* help. He found the PDF creator for me. He built an awesome download system so I won't be clogging everyone's email boxes with 1 MB files. And he developed a couple of great online tools that I'll be using for upcoming projects.
Andrew is an amazing web developer. If you know anyone that needs a contract web developer, have them check out his website
AndrewMerlino.com. He has clients nationwide and
excellent references.
