This is where I used to list all the movies I saw, books I read, and all sorts of other stuff. Since October 2007 I've only had a chance to document the live shows I've seen, the movies I see at the Philadelphia Film Festival, and a handful of other things. I makes me so sad that I can't keep up with it. Maybe someday.

Ike Taiga and Tokuyama Gyokuran: Japanese Masters of the Brush which is currently showing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It's humbling to see such a beautiful body of work created over decades. It makes me want to shrug off the world and dedicate myself to something creative. Actually, it makes me feel bad that I don't have the single-mindedness to shrug off the world and dedicate myself to something creative. If only I knew I'd still be able to eat ... and sleep under a roof ... and stuff like that. See, I don't have what it takes. Maybe someday.
