The Woods is recommended

The Woods features young girls going to a private school in the spooky woods.  More often than not, a movie with this description would be made for teenagers and be sorta dumb, but The Woods was great.  We took a chance on it because the director, Lucky McKee, also made May, an excellent horror movie that I recommend.  The acting in the movie is good - I especially like the headmistress of the school, Patricia Clarkson and the main girl actor, Agnes Bruckner.

I just went to read the description. It has Bruce Campbell in it. Now we have to watch it. ;-D

Your posts make me wish I had the mental stamina to watch more movies. Or, rather, the bravery, or something. Because I usually enjoy myself when I watch movies, but when I contemplate watching a movie I somehow get all upset that it will cut into my (already ridiculously copious) reading time.

If I only got to read an hour a day, it would make sense. But I probably read at least four hours a day, and as many as twelve hours. Which is a problem in and of itself, I guess, but only in that I kind of run out of books rather quickly, and the library isn't open twenty-four hours a day, more's a pity.

There is no way I'm going to see this movie, but I just wanted to say that I am in love with this picture of the tree.
