PimpZilla

If you haven't upgraded to Firefox 2 ... Do it.

OMFG!  There is a built in spell checker.  BUILT IN!  When you are typing comments on your fave blogs, it'll underline things like 'fave' and you can right click it and add it to your personal dictionary or change it to one of their suggestions.  I can't be the only nerd that copies and pastes their comments into Word to spell check them ... hopefully ... OK, I don't do it all the time ... stop looking at me like that.

And, just in case you are worried, the dude who made the PimpZilla theme is totally on the ball and has upgraded it for FF2.  Yes, I know, I was relieved, too.

If you don't use Firefox already, we should have a talk ... drop me a line.

well i updated (kinda surprised it didn't prompt me to do so... but maybe i was too impatient.) i am trying to misspell words and it is working!!! i mean, it's catching the misspelled ones... i often have word open while typing comments, cutting and pasting as i go, and then am doubly disappointed when i find something wrong after hitting publish...

I was surprised I didn't get prompted to download it either. I'm super-glad I'm not the only person trying to use Word as my comment spell checker. Yay!

You are definitely not the only one. Except I use TextEdit and only because it opens faster. :)

Okay, I did it, and I'm trying it out right now. So, far, the spell check didn't like the word "okay." But that is the way you spell it, so I added it to my dictionary. And I mistyped "dictionary" and it alerted me. Now let's try one of the words I have perennial problems spelling: unnecessary. Ah, hah! Brilliant. Thanks for the tip. Only one problem, I had to add BOTH "Okay" and "okay" to the dictionary. That seems pretty nitpicky to me. It doesn't like nitpicky either. Let's try "nit-picky." That seems fine. Whatever. Over and out.
